A Contest. A Crisis. And a Question Worth Asking.

IOD Nations is a pro-democracy organization driving Citizen-Led Online Democracy.
The movement is built on a simple premise: democracy doesn’t wait it’s either growing or shrinking. IOD Nations exists to keep it moving forward by putting civic power directly in the hands of citizens through digital tools.

Mobilizing grassroots networks — especially women-led organizing
Running targeted campaigns on pressing democratic issues
Connecting supporters via Substack, email, and community platforms
Digital participation isn’t optional. It’s how democracy survives.
Democracy is not dying quietly. It is being dismantled loudly, strategically, and fast. The question everyone is asking in comment sections, in living rooms, in the middle of the night is always the same:
“HOW IN THE LIVING FFF##@%*#)&)&)ING HELL CAN I HELP SAVE DEMOCRACY!!!!?!!!?!!??!”
We are IOD Nations’ and we have a bold disruptive answer. Unfortunately, although we are getting traction things are taking to long, we need to make things happen now, ASAP. Our proposal comes with $1,000 on the line….just in case world freedom and democracy isn’t enough?
Propose a better idea and we will pay you $1000, if not, or even if you do have a better idea… WHO IS AGAINST NEW Pro Democracy IDEAS?
The Three Criteria for Any Real Solution
Before we get to the contest, let’s be clear about what actually counts. Any idea worth implementing must meet all three of these criteria:
1) Your alternative must include LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF PEOPLE UNITING.
2) They must be able to quickly and easily and efficiently collaborate democratically.
3) It must provide immediate results when implemented.
If your idea does not clear all three bars, it is not a solution. It is a wish.
Socrates Had Something to Say About This
Socrates said:
I know that you won’t believe me but the highest form of human excellence is to question oneself and others.
(If I missed the quote by a word or so, and that matters more to you than freedom and democracy, you are why our democracies are failing, just sayin’.)
So here is that question that represents the highest form of human excellence:
“Why WOULDN’T YOU share a contest to share the best ideas in the world… to save world democracy… with as many people as possible… as quickly as possible… since everyone is asking…”
Bernard Shaw Knew the Answer
Bernard Shaw said:
You see things and ask why. I dream things and ask why not?
Why not turn frustration into fuel? Why not turn the question into a contest?
The World That Makes This Urgent
Here is what is happening right now while we are waiting for someone else to act.
China has or is obtaining massive dominion and control over Russia, as it fails as a nation… yet again.
As ChiRussia becomes a world authoritarian, anti-women, anti-religion, anti-democracy, anti-civil and human rights… pro- economic, virtual, military, social, political and religious war…
As that change is happening worldwide…
Why not have a badass pro-democracy contest?
The question is whether you are going to be the person who acted or the person who watched.

2) Enter your suggestion (less than two pages, less than 10 min audio/video) in the “Ideas to Save Democracy” location.
3) IF you already realize that I just won the competition already please do not tell anyone… they might start implementing the ideas before the contest completion because… WE ARE HUMANS, WE KNOW HOW TO PERFORM MULTIPLE TASKS… especially when mutually beneficial to our lives, sometimes.
One Final Thought
Even if this was written emotionally and with frustration — or maybe because it was — the mission does not change.
We all need to collaborate and keep our eyes on the prize, right?
The prize is democracy. The prize is freedom. The prize is a world where women are safe, children are protected, and citizens have real power over the institutions that govern their lives.
One idea. One contest. One thousand dollars. And the chance to be part of the biggest pro-democracy collaboration in the history of the internet.
