IOD Nations Live Session Recap | April 2026
By IOD Nations | IODNations.org
Yesterday’s IOD Nations live session was not a meeting. It was a movement assembling in real time.
For nearly three hours, pro-democracy citizens from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, India, and beyond came together on Zoom and Substack to do something most online communities never manage: they got honest, got organized, and got to work.
This is what happened and why it matters.
Rebecca’s Video Opened the Room
The session launched with a video from Rebecca a 55-year-old retired nurse, disabled veteran’s daughter, survivor of sexual assault, and 37-year sober member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Her message was direct, raw, and impossible to ignore.
Rebecca described being gang raped on her 18th birthday. She described the decades of PTSD that followed the life made small by trauma she did not even fully recognize until now, at 55. She described the earthquake of realizing, as the Epstein files continue to surface, that what was done to her was not an isolated act of violence it was part of a coordinated, global system of exploitation that powerful men built, funded, protected, and profited from for decades.
And then she did something remarkable. She turned that fury into a plan.
The room erupted. Guine, Gill, Karma, AC, Jackie, Greg, Bob, Dr. Jesnil and dozens of Substack viewers responded with what Jill from the UK described as a profound recognition: “That could have been any one of us.”
Jill added something that stopped everyone cold: “Virginia Giuffre did not take her own life. She was murdered. That’s not a decision she made. It was taken from her.”
This is the emotional and moral foundation of why this movement exists. Not outrage for its own sake but outrage in service of action.
Joel Explained the Vision | And It Clicked
For many attendees, yesterday was the session where the IOD Nations concept finally clicked.
Joel who has been working on this vision for ten years explained it this way:
“If a business no longer requires brick and mortar, then a nation no longer requires land and borders.”
Just as Amazon’s power lives online, just as Facebook functions as its own economy and society, citizens can unite online and form their own sovereign democratic nations not bound by geography, not dependent on institutions that have failed them, not waiting for permission from the powerful.
The model already exists and works. In Taiwan, the 2014 Sunflower Movement triggered the creation of the vTaiwan platform. Ten and a half million citizens — out of a population of 24 million now participate directly in digital democracy. Government approval ratings rose from 9% to over 70%. Eighty percent of all deliberations led to decisive government action.
That is what IOD Nations is building globally.
Rebecca described the moment it connected for her:
“I have this computer in my hand and I don’t have to take my body anywhere. And I’m also disabled. And there are days that I can’t get out of bed. But it doesn’t matter because I can still be a powerful force just in my phone. All I have to do is get enough of us together to write the same email, release it at the same time in coordinated waves.”
The Democracy Not Anonymous Three-Step Program
Drawing from Rebecca’s background in Alcoholics Anonymous and Joel’s Anonymous-logo shirt the group developed what they are calling the Democracy Not Anonymous Three-Step Program:
Step One — Click your mouse and go to the portal: IODNations.org
Step Two — Join IOD Nations and tell us what you care about. What is keeping you up at night? What is the issue that makes you feel like your head is going to explode? Epstein survivors. Healthcare. ICE. Climate. Prison reform. Reproductive rights. Whatever it is — your nation exists or is being built.
Step Three — Take the action. We give you the message. We give you the email addresses. All you do is send it.
As Rebecca put it: “We will give you the message. We will give you the email addresses and all you got to do is send it, baby.”
The Victoria’s Secret Campaign Is Loaded and Ready
The Victoria’s Secret email campaign — “Victoria’s Damn Secret: Contact List Crusade” is complete and waiting to be fired.
The email template is live on our Substack. The contact list of verified Victoria’s Secret and Express corporate emails has been compiled and published. Rebecca’s video explaining why she is targeting the brand founded by Les Wexner, who is extensively documented in the Epstein files is ready to be shared.
The group is meeting on Saturday at 2:00 PM EST to decide: do we have sufficient numbers to launch? The consensus in the room was clear the campaign needs mass. When it fires, it needs to be crushing. And the group is working to reach that number before pulling the trigger.
If you have not yet read the article or seen the email template, it is live at IODNations.org now.
AC brought an additional strategic idea that the group received with genuine excitement: mass filings to governments and pension funds in other countries asking them to pull retirement fund investments from Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan, Rothschilds, Vanguard, State Street, and BlackRock all institutions documented in the Epstein files. As AC put it: “If at mass levels, retirement funds pull that out in a nonviolent way I wonder if we don’t make a difference.”
We do not wonder. We know.
Gill’s Petition: Stop the Royal Visit
Jill, joining from the United Kingdom, shared a campaign that deserves every signature it can get.
King Charles and Queen Camilla are scheduled to visit the United States on April 27th a diplomatic state visit that will include meetings with President Trump, an address to Congress, and formal ceremonies that will hand the Trump administration a massive prestige boost on the world stage.
What the visit will not include: any meeting with Epstein survivors. Any testimony from Prince Andrew, who has repeatedly refused congressional requests despite eleven UK police forces actively investigating him. Any transparency about the missing private jet flight logs to Balmoral Castle.
The UK’s Chief Metropolitan Police Officer traveled to the United States personally two weeks ago to request unredacted Epstein files. He returned with nothing public.
Seven countries Latvia, Poland, Norway, the UK, France, and others are now formally trying to obtain unredacted Epstein files. They are being stonewalled.
Meanwhile, the King and Queen are going to address Congress.

Jackie Brought the Intellectual Foundation
Jackie an applied anthropologist, certified hypnotherapist, and systems thinker — joined the conversation and immediately became one of its most important voices.
She brought Buckminster Fuller’s foundational challenge: “How do we make the world work for 100% of humanity in the shortest possible time through spontaneous cooperation without ecological offense or the disadvantage of anyone?”
She brought Darwin’s actual argument not Herbert Spencer’s corruption of it. Darwin said cooperation is humanity’s superpower. Survival of the fittest was coined by Spencer to justify white supremacy. The economic systems we inherited were built on a lie.
And she brought this: “All the systems that we have, somebody dreamed up. They were all created by humans from somebody’s imagination. And then somebody else said, oh well, that seems reasonable. We’ll do it that way. And it became just what is. Build a new model that makes the old one obsolete.”
This is exactly what IOD Nations is doing. Joel has named his dog Bucky — after Buckminster Fuller. It is not a coincidence that this framework and this movement found each other yesterday.
The Healing That Is Happening
Perhaps the most powerful moment of the session was not any single speech or announcement. It was the conversation between Rebecca and Joel about what happens when a man and a woman build trust across the damage that has been done.
Rebecca said to the room:
“Do you realize how few truly connected interactions you’ve had with women in your life because we have been so terrified and protecting ourselves and dealing with so much trauma that it was hard to just be present in the room with you? You don’t even know that.”
Joel acknowledged it. And that acknowledgment public, honest, and without defensiveness is the model for everything IOD Nations is trying to build.
As Rebecca put it: “If we lead with love instead of the hate that these motherfuckers live in if we lead with love every time we talk to each other and our friends we can make it happen.”
Guine joining at 4:00 AM from her timezone, still recovering from flu said it best: “Democracy is never on our terms, is it? No.”
No. It is not. That is why we show up anyway.
Ashfak Showed What Is Being Built
Ashfak, IOD Nations’ developer, who has been building the platform largely alone for years demonstrated the civic app live on screen.
It is real. It is working. It includes:
A direct action portal where citizens can join in one click and tell us what they care about
Petition tools with real-time signing data showing participants from the US, UK, Canada, and beyond
An email campaign launcher that populates the template and email addresses on your phone one button to send
An idea submission system with AI moderation to surface the best citizen proposals
An IOD Nations social platform an alternative to Facebook built on democratic principles, not algorithmic manipulation
As Ashfak said: “Facebook doesn’t have any value if you stop using it. If nobody goes into Facebook for one day, it’ll crash. We are the power.”
We are building the platform that reflects that truth.

The Bottom Line
There are people sitting in their homes right now disabled, exhausted, scared, furious who feel like they are screaming into a void. Who have marched, called, signed, and watched nothing change. Who doom scroll because they cannot look away but do not know how to look forward.
IOD Nations is the boat. Rebecca said it, and she meant it.
“We don’t have to live like this anymore. And the way we stop living like this is we get into the boat together, we build our new democracy with each other, directly participatory and we support each other in everything that we do.”
They need us more than we need them. We are the internet. Without us, they are nothing.
Why Not?
